In the sacred town of Liska, renowned as one of the holiest places in the world, the profound prayers recited at the tomb of the esteemed tzadik, Rebbe Hershele Lisker zt"l, resonate with deep significance.


This prayer asks for healing for the sick, wealth for the poor, and peace and health for the people of Israel and all of humanity. Liska has long held a unique significance in the Jewish world, as it is the site where the Liska Rebbe constructed a renowned synagogue, one of the largest in Europe during its time. The spirit of the town and its tzadik endures brightly in Jewish communities, with many visiting to ask for blessings in accordance with the Kivrei Tzadikim tradition.


Among the revered Hasidic leaders, Rebbe Hershele Lisker (רבי הערשעלע ליסקער), also called Zvi Hirsh Friedmann (צבי הירש פרידמאן) and recognized for his work Ach Pri Tevu'ah (אך פרי תבואה), continues to impact his followers with his teachings. As a student of the illustrious Teitelbaum Moshe zt"l (משה טייטלבוים זצ״ל), known as the Yismach Moshe (ישמח משה), the Rebbe gained deep insights into Torah and Hasidic teachings. This close disciple relationship remains alive in the hasidic communities, especially among the Satmar followers, who honor the memory of both Teitelbaum and Rebbe Hershele Lisker.
